Mr. Harrison joins the Transmode team at a time when North American sales for Transmode are growing rapidly. Transmode's North American customer base consists of over 20 network operators and includes recently announced contract wins such as substantial deployments with Kentucky Data Link in the United States and Sogetel and Group Télécom Warwick in Canada. These have proven the demand for Transmode's Intelligent WDM (iWDM(TM)) optical networking equipment in the North American market - as well as the need to enhance the existing team.

He has more than 25 years' experience in the telecommunication industry, having previously held senior sales and marketing management positions with other optical vendors including BTI Photonic Systems, Ekinops and Alcatel Networks.

Mr. Harrison studied applied physics at Sunderland University and holds a Masters degree in Marketing. He commented, "I am thrilled to be joining the team at Transmode, I am looking forward to contributing to the further growth of Transmode's North American sales and believe that the company has the right mix of product range and services to meet the demand for increased bandwidth in the Metro Network space."
