Theoretical presentations and practical exercises for each part of the agenda are included. Exercises include simple point to point networks and work up to protected rings. Exercises also cover amplified networks and calculation if dispersion compensation needed and where this would be placed.

Prerequisites

Good knowledge on xWDM networks, and preferably basic knowledge of SDH, Ethernet and SAN networks. The TM or TS product training is a mandatory prerequisite to attend the network design training. This course is directed to those who are intended to design and calculate new networks with the Transmode products.
